Have unfinished books, will travel.

(Or, one drive through the blue ridge mountains in two months just wasn’t enough…)

After spending hours in the car with my husband going from my home in NJ to a small town in Georgia, I learned I can write in a moving vehicle without getting motion sick. I suspected this to be true, but have–after 13 hours and change–proved it.

Prior to leaving, I spent half a day working on my plot for book 3 (Recovery). I feel comfortable telling you, my 4 readers, that Michael and Jade’s book is coming out so amazing it bothers me to write it as book 3. Considering, I wrote book 2 and loved it so much I regretted having to write book 1… I’m sensing a pattern for book 4, but only time will tell.

In one solid day of writing (that started at 1 am), I doubled the length of the story. It’s clocking in at a whopping 72 pages. I have many characters to plan and finalize and plenty more to write, but progress is a good thing!

I appreciate a little more every day how much writing is a job full of tasks to be completed and criticism to weather. The creative side isn’t always the most prominent, but I have to say, it is the most fun. I enjoy creating people and places and letting them inspire me with where they want to the story to go. I fall in love with new characters too quickly and then end up giving them their own stories in my mind. I just type too slowly to share it all with you yet.

Time to get crackin’! No more dragging my feet and avoiding the work of writing by staying in this perfect little blog where I mostly just talk to myself…

Love and Gratitude,
