or… Music and Cool Series Updates
Ever have one of those things you have always wanted to do? Something you love but never thought anyone would apprechate it?
Mine is Soundtracks.
I have a secret love of the creativing paring of music and TV moments. I don’t understand how we don’t have soundtracks for books more often, because let me tell you—i would download every one. Blacklist, Charmed (V2), Lucifer, Grey’s Anatomy… and those are just a few of the massive soundtracks I have been collecting for half my life.
What can I say? I’m a creative who’s prone to obsession. Soundtracks are my thing.
I will need to work backward to plot the music for book 1 (Becoming, on Amazon now), but I just finished one of my last revisions on book 2 (Rescued, Summer 2023). As I was reading it, I used sticky notes to track all the music I listened to when writing certain scenes. I promise to release the listing with specific scenes beside the songs after the book hits the stores, but for now…
I promise, it doesn’t give anything away and it is in order the songs are used in the book, however, that’s all the clues you’re getting from me! I’m hoping to put book 2 up for pre-orders as soon as I can.
As for the future books,
Thanks to a recent epiphany, I’ve come up with titles and skeleton storylines for each of the next 7 books! Want to know what they are? (My cover artist is going to be up to his ears in placeholder covers at this rate!)

- Book 6: UNDEFINED
- Book 7: AWAKENING
- Book 8: HEALED
- Book 9: LIBERATION
I wish I was totally cool and could give you an even 10, but #10 is going to have to wait until I’ve integrated some more of those characters everyone loves so much.
Are there only going to be 10 books? No idea. When I figure it out, I’ll let you know.
Book 1 update:
I’ve sold about 50 copies of book 1 so far and I’m calling that a win for the time being–with an unknown number of downloads onto Kindle Unlimited.
The success of a book is measured in years, not weeks. I won’t know if it’s worth the investment for a few more books yet! That means I’m not giving up. Mindset is everything and I’m a girl with a plan. (Now if I could just convince those 50 folks to leave a review when they finish reading, I would be thrilled…HINT y’all!)
Book 2 Update:
So far, I have had every (single) beta reader come back to me happy with book 2. The highest praise right now is again focused on character development (LOVE THIS!!).
Book 1 is sourced from material I’d written almost 3 years ago—and from a book plan even before that. Book 2 is coming from material I started writing in November of 2022 and it contains scenes I wrote last week. In the last 3 years I’ve written hundreds of thousands of words and edited even more than that—worked with 2 editors, listened to the opinions of many beta readers. This means, according to my editor, the improvements are HUGE. Book 3 is going to be amazing and I can’t wait to get it out to you!!
So. Time to put my head down and disappear for a couple weeks to get this show on the road!
